The present study was carried out to investigate the milk production characteristics of Brown Swiss cattle in Altınova State Farm. A common feeding and management program was applied to the cattle in the study. In the statistical analysis of data, Duncan test for the comparisons of mean values in groups were used in GLM procedure. In the Brown Swiss cattle in the study lactation milk yield estimated were 6242.0 kg, 305 days milk yields were 5953.3 kg, persistency of milk yield estimated with P2:1, P3:1 and P3:2 models were 94.35%, 62.55% and 65.87%, lactation duration was 319.39 days, dry period was 66.57 days. It was determined that the milk yields of the cattle in the study were generally at high levels according to the standards in Turkey and milk yields could be improved by the use of appropriate feeding and management practices.
