Frequently encountered kidney tumours are; carcinomas in dogs and lymphomas in cats. Haematuria presents the most prominent clinical finding. Nephrectomy is performed in the treatment of unilateral kidney tumours where metastasis has not yet occurred. Transitional cell carcinoma is the most frequently observed tumour of the urinary bladder and urethra. These tumours appear together with clinical findings such as: haematuria and dysuria. Tumours of the urinary bladder are treated with partial resection of the bladder, whereas urethral tumours are treated via urethral resection followed by anastomosis.
